SHREVEPORT, LA - Services for Joan Mayfield Parker, 57, will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Chapel, Shreveport, LA. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery, 109 Mistye Lane, Winnfield, LA 71483. Officiating will be Rev. Larry Tucker. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2016. Joan was born to Carroll Wayne Mayfield and Patsy Mason in Sonoma, CA on May 23, 1958 and passed away on April 13, 2016 after a lengthy illness. Joan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt to all her "Aunt Joan's BABIES", whom are her nieces and nephews. Her special friends that she loved, Carol Glovier, Greg Hines, Linda Tauzin, also her Bass Life friends. Joan is preceded in death by her parents, husband, David A. Parker, and daughter, Angela Regan. She is survived by daughter Samantha Miller and Khris Snow; second mother, Bettie Mayfield; sisters and brothers, Linda and Virgil McLendon, Carol Huckabee, Connie and Doug Rivet, Pam Stanfield, Theresa and John Dixon, Curtis and Donnie Mayfield, Sandy and Kevin Gay, Carolton and Patty Mayfield, Summer Coleman, numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Honoring Joan as pallbearers will be Allen Gay, Jesse and Jonathon Cutrer, Cody and Christopher Mayfield and Butch Canada. Honorary pallbearers will be Drew Hudson and Colton McLendon.
