John Woodard

Shreveport, La- A funeral service for John Woodard, 55, will be held 12:00 noon Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Reverend Brian Opbroek. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at the funeral home. John was born on April 30, 1960 to Clyde and Nannie Lou Williamson Woodard in Shreveport, La. He passed away on June 6, 2015. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. He loved the outdoors and loved watching horse racing. He was a welder for many years and retired from General Motors. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Nannie Lou Williamson Woodard and siblings, Betty Brown, Bobby Woodard, Lois Reed, Roy Woodard, Nancy Linson, Jean Cox, and Joy Helton. His is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Martha Susan Power Woodard, son, Tad Savell, daughter, Adrienne Savell Cook, and grandchildren, Avere Doles, Emerson Doles, and Ezra Savell and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
