Funeral services for Johnny Robert Nolan, 81, will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Kings Temple United Pentecostal Church, 8951 Kingston Road, Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery, 8801 Mansfield Road in Shreveport. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the church. Officiating the service will be Reverend Damon Magee and Reverend John Berry. Johnny was born on July 23, 1939 to Myrtle Kibodeaux Nolan and John Joseph Nolan in Crowley, Louisiana where he was raised. He drove for several different freight companies for many years. He was a 35 year survivor of Parkinson's Disease. He loved people. Everyone was his friend. He loved to hunt and fish, and he had a very giving heart. He was a faithful member of Kings Temple United Pentecostal Church for 49 years of which he taught Sunday School for 20 years. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Clifton Nolan, Lawrence Nolan, Ervin Nolan and sister, Barbara Nolan LePointe. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Donna Welch Nolan; daughters, Catherine A. Kibodeaux, Tracy Noel Perot and husband, Rickey; son, Burton Glen Nolan; grandchildren, Veronica Kibodeaux, James Lee Kibodeaux, Ashley Bellard, Johnny Joseph Kibodeaux, all of Crowley, Louisiana; Nolan Perot and wife, Erica, Jonathan Perot and Lauren Perot of all Stonewall, Louisiana.; great-grandchildren, Bryson Romero, Chyanne Romero, Tyler Bellard, Gracie Bellard, Hayley Kibodeaux and Saylor Kibodeaux and two great-great-grandchildren, Karson and Hunter; sisters-in law, Sandra Nolan and Hazel Nolan, both of Crowley, Louisiana, Ona Hedrick, Shirley Swindle of Shreveport, Louisiana, and Collis Ezell of Stonewall, Louisiana and numerous nieces and nephews. Honoring Johnny as pallbearers will be Blaine Nolan, Jamie Ezell, Nolan Perot, Jonathan Perot, James Lee Kibodeaux and JJ Kibodeaux. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Kimbrough Struggs, Bradley Nolan, Mark Welch and Ritchie Warren. The family would like to express special thanks to his buddy, Kimbrough Struggs and his caregiver, Eura Perry for their faithfulness in caring for our loved one. Special thanks, also, to Dr. Richard Zweig and Dr. James Jackson. We would also like to thank our Kings' Temple family and friends for all the love shown during this difficult time.
