Funeral Services for Joy Clarice Hassell Plants, 92, will be held Saturday, October 10, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr. Interment will follow at Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery. Officiating will be Reverend Tom Brown. Visitation with the family will be held at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel Saturday, October 10, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Clarice was Born October 18, 1927 to Leslie E. and Mayoza Hassel in Bossier City, Louisiana. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, October 7, 2020. She was a resident of the Shreveport-Bossier area all of her life. She was a homemaker who loved flowers and collecting miniature china shoes. She was married to her late husband, Cleve W. Plants, for 67 years. Joy was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her four children, Hershel E. plants, Joy L. Plants, Judy P. Reid and William L. Plants; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
