Joyce Bryant

SHREVEPORT, LA - Surrounded by love, with family by her side, Joyce J. Bryant, 87, left her earthly coil to join the Father in heaven on July 10, 2015. There will be a visitation at Rose-Neath Southside from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, 2015. A graveside service will immediately follow at Forest Park West Cemetery. Joyce was the youngest of six children born to Ira and Lucy Johns of Richmond, VA. It was there she married her handsome sailor, Charles M. Bryant, and begin their 49 years of life together in Shreveport, LA. Joyce enjoyed many activities including kitting, reading, fishing and camping. She was a wonderful cook, but if one were lucky enough to get a homemade pie, you knew how special you were. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Bryant. She is survived by her children, Carol Hughes and husband, James, Rick Bryant and wife, Rosemary and Jill Pool; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
