Joyce Doucet

Shreveport, LA- Our sweet mother, Joyce Hood Doucet, 92, was greeted and welcomed by Christ into Heaven on Friday, November 7, 2014. Services to celebrate the life of Joyce Doucet, will be held on November 11, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at Rose Neath's Southside chapel with Chaplain Jimmy Sistrunk officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Joyce was born on July 9, 1922 in Arcadia, Louisiana. Left to cherish beautiful memories are her daughters, Judy Cobb and Janet Shelton as well as her sister, Nita Gilbert, niece, Terri Spence and nephew Richard Gilbert as well as other cousins, nephews, nieces and treasured friends. Joyce was known for her strong faith in Christ, love of family, and always putting other people first. She will be greatly missed and we are honored to have shared her life. Pallbearers will be Louis Greber, Gary Byas, Roy LaCour, Bobby Robinson, Mike Brock and Don Byas.
