Joycelyn Buffington

SHREVEPORT, LA - A Celebration of Life Memorial service for Joycelyn Buffington, 80, will be held from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Eastwood Baptist Church,2810 US-80, Haughton, LA. A balloon release will be held after the service and all are welcome to participate. Joyce, her name means an unbelievable and amazing person. She's loving, funny, beautiful, sweet, caring and understandable. If you are related to her, friends with her or know her, you are the luckiest person in the world. Her name also means, a loving, devoted and mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister to all of her family. And to all her friends that knew her, she gave her love and treated them all as family. She was a wonderful and beautiful lady and her heart overflowed with love for her family and friends, just as the hearts of her family and friends now over flow with sadness from missing her so much. But those same hearts are rejoicing and glad that she is now resting peacefully in Heaven with her husband, Jack and her family members and friends that went before her to make a place with them in Heaven to be with God. Preceding Joyce in death are her parents, Cecil and Gradie Mae Cummings, husband, Jack Buffington, brother, Herbert Cummings and sisters, Jewel West and Imogene Perdue. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Brenda Tuttle, Pamela Patton and husband, Jerry, Jacqueline Shirley and husband, Franklin, and Bonnie Buffington; son, Mark Victory and fiance, Theresa; grandchildren, Kelly Kelly and husband, Michael, April Graham and husband, Robert, Hannah Shirley, Stephan Leone, Jason Patton and Kim Mauldin; great-grandchildren, Joshua Graham, Mackenzie Kelly, Mikaela Kelly, Jasper Patton, Savana Patton, and Brayden Leone; sister, Alma Jones and brother, Bill Cummings, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Bless her and always keep her in your hearts and your memories, for she was a special, and loving lady and she is smiling down upon us all knowing how much we love and miss her.
