Juanita Cobb

HOMER, LA: A graveside service was held for Mrs. Juanita Cobb, 78, at Western Cemetery in Walkerville, AR on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Ray Anderson, officiating. The family received friends at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Homer on Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. Mrs. Cobb was born August 11, 1939 in McNeil, AR to Clifford C. and Erma Jones McKinnis. She entered into rest on Sunday, October 15, 2017 in Homer, LA. Mrs. Cobb owned a beauty shop in Minden for several years. She then went to work in the banking industry, working for banks in Minden and Homer. Mrs. Cobb retired from the banking industry in 2000 to take care of her husband who had been diagnosed with ALS. She was a loving mother, sister and friend. But the most prized title she held was the one of "NaNa." She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with all her being. They could always put a smile on her face. There was nothing she would not do for them. Mrs. Cobb will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Mrs. Cobb was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Leon Cobb; three brothers, James C. McKinnis, William Jackie McKinnis and Rand McKinnis; and three sisters, Maxine Britt, Mickey Higginbotham and Loretta Rucker. She is survived by a daughter, Kim McBride and husband Ken of Athens, LA; a son, Keith Cobb and wife Pam of Haughton, LA; a grandson, Clint Garrett and Ciera Peacock of Homer, LA; a granddaughter, Candi Baldwin and husband West of Wesson, AR; five great-grandchildren, Jameson and Josie Garret, Rylee and Brayden Aldridge and Amelia Baldwin; two sisters, Ann Wright and husband Dan of Colorado City, CO and Fay Hart and husband Jimmy of Minden, LA; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Lewis Smith, Mark Smith, Richard Smith, James Smith, Jerry McKinnis, David McCuen and David Wright. In lieu of flowers honoring Mrs. Cobb, her family suggests memorials be to Southern Christian Home, 100 W. Harding Street, Morrilton, AR 72110 or Church of Christ, 308 W. 2nd Street, Homer, LA.
