Shreveport, LA - Funeral services for Kathleen Wise, 71, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 16, 2020 at the Rose-Neath Bossier Chapel in Bossier City, with Rev. Jeff Colbert officiating. The burial will follow at the Rose-Neath Cemetery in Bossier City. Visitation will be at Rose-Neath Bossier Thursday, January 16, 2020 from 11a.m. until service time. Kathleen was born January 23, 1948 in Baltimore, MD the daughter of Jessie W. and Mardell Horn Price. She passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2020 in Shreveport, LA. She moved to Shreveport in 1980 and was a resident of Shreveport for 40 years. She was a beautician for 55 years. Kathleen was a "Kool Aid" Mom, the kind of mom that was there for any family or any friends. She loved to go to yard sales and flea markets. She loved to pick up her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and take them to the movies, out to eat or go to the park. Kathleen liked to have get-togethers to keep us close as a family; she loved for family to hang out and watch TV or movies. She was the kind of woman that would give the shirt off her back if anyone needed it and was also a very self-sufficient person. She will be deeply missed. Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Howard Wise; son, Joe Wise and stepson, Joshua Wise. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Jimmy Wise and wife, Kim; daughter, Tina Wise Boyd and husband, Bruce; sister, Marty D. Gieseler; grandchildren, Stephen Padgett and wife, Katie, Sara Herman and Nick Herman; great-grandchildren, Sha'Michael Herman and Sutton Padgett. Honoring Kathleen as pallbearers will be, Nick Herman, Stephen Padgett, Joe Davis, Kerry Herman, Billy Baldwin and Mark Hill.
