Keith Houser

Keith Houser passed away in his home surrounded by his loving family on April 20, 2019 at age 60. Celebration of Life will be held Friday, April, 26, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Rose-Neath Chapel in Bossier City, Louisiana with Pastor Mark Rodie officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, April, 25, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Rose-Neath Bossier Chapel. Interment will follow at Rose-Neath Cemetery. Keith was born in Jefferson, Texas on March 6, 1959. By 1982, Keith was living in Bossier City, when he took a trip to the bowling lanes that would forever change his world. With a smile and an offering of a Starburst, he met his wife and forever best friend, Kathy. If you were to describe him with one word, that word would be "selfless". He had a servant's heart for his Savior, family, and his community. Those who knew and love him can only try to put into words how much he meant to his family. His love that he showed to his wife would be a blueprint for newlyweds. He left an impression on everyone he met. He was a husband, dad and a pawpaw to many little hands. This world would be a much better place if there were more Keith Housers in this world. Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Keith and Reba Houser; two sisters, Kim and Melody Lockey; grandparents and several cherished family members. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Kathy Houser; son, Trey Houser and wife, Courtney; daughter Becky Polk and husband, Terry; granddaughters (whom so lovingly called him "PawPaw"), Kayleigh, Riley, Emilee, and grandson, Lennon. Keith is also survived by Second Mom, Linda Houser; sisters, Kelly Cash and husband, Greg, Robin Swan and husband, Jon; brothers, Tommy Houser, Alex Houser and wife, Melissa, John Beaudoin; extra special family, his in-laws, Glenda and Billy England; sisters-in-law, Brenda, Sharon, Catherine, Jackie, and brothers-in-law, Tony Lockey and Frank Lorich. The Houser family would like to thank Willis Knighton Cancer Center, Dr. Peddi and his staff, and the wonderful home health and hospice nurses that took such great care of him in his last days. Keith always made them smile, even in the toughest situations. And of some have compassion, making a difference (Jude 22). A special thanks to Keith's younger and nurturing sister, Kelly Cash, for all of the selfless devotion to her big brother. The Houser family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations in Keith's honor be made to: Faith Fight Finish Foundation by Dak Prescott
