To those that knew Ken Ken Alley was a very fine man!! I am really kicking myself today, a day after hearing about his death. For a short period of 3 years we were as close as brothers. Then college is finished or marriage and career split you upon separate paths, crossing every now and again and then less, and then even less seldom. Admittingly, most of my memories of Ken are the fun times we had running the roads of north La and with occasional trips beyond, always bordering on mischievous but never crossing the line to trouble. I do know Ken was a believer, was always kind to others and charitable to those with less. He was a bit older than myself but his personality and actions made a strong impression on me. I like to think I took some of that with me into adulthood. As I said I haven\\\'t seen Ken in 15 years but his obituary seemed a bit incomplete. Perhaps this is what happens later in life when we tend to become more private. I would hope that those that knew Ken in high school and the \\\'70\\\'s know what I mean. He was a gentleman, a good friend and a pretty good damn baseball player. I will miss him.

To the family, We would like to send our condolences. When a loved on dies, the pain and the grief can seem unbearable. May you find comfort in knowing that Jehovah truly knows how you feel, so "throw all your anxiety upon him, because he cares for you."(1 Peter 5:7)Jehovah is our "Lifegiver."(Psalms 36:9)He did not create humans to live for just a few years and then die. He hates death, he calls it "the last enemy."(1 Corinthians 15:26)Because death is an enemy, Jehovah made an arrangement to do away with it. His Son, Christ Jesus is a Key figure in that arrangement. The arrangement reveals much about Jehovah's intense love and mercy for us all. "For God loved the world so much he gave his only-begotten Son, so that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life."(John 3:16)Soon, Jehovah will "swallow up death forever."(Isaiah 25:8)Then, "all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out."(John 5:28)To learn how Jehovah will end sickness and death and turn the earth into a Paradise, please visit: www.JW.org and click on "Bible Teachings."
