Kittie Ann Mosley

Kittie Ann Mosley was born on July 24, 1955, in Shreveport, Louisiana. She painted her last masterpiece on May 12, 2019. Her parents, Lida Mosley Green (Roy) and Sip Hines, Sr., (Leida) loved their beautiful little girl. Kittie's father, Sip, and stepfather, Roy, both preceded her in death. As did her maternal grandparents, Charley and Ether D. Mosley.   Early in life, Kittie discovered her true passion for art and vibrant colors. She was spoiled by some of the best private tutors in the area and loved showcasing her amazing work, which was sold to family and friends, church members, co-workers, and kind strangers.   At a young age, Kittie accepted Christ as her savior and became a member at Perrin Street Church of Christ. Her joy was in being active, from Vacation Bible School to gospel meetings, from "dinner on the grounds" to Sunday service and singing. She never left Perrin Street, where Frank C. Brown was then-minister. Kittie's family was part of the core transition group to Russell Road where they faithfully supported longtime minister, Dr. John H. Dansby, Sr.   Kittie graduated from Fair Park High School in 1973 and decided to pursue her goal of becoming a runway model. Kittie signed contracts with several agencies, most notably Mister Lynn's of Shreveport, where she was already a star before her first fashion show.   Still that sweet shy girl, Kittie built her confidence entering beauty and art competitions, always making an impression on the judges in both. She loved helping others, offering her fashionista winning smile, an infectious laugh, and an inner beauty to match.   As a young adult, Kit was diagnosed with schizophrenia and other issues, but she never allowed those to stop her from trying to make a better life for herself. You may be sure our "Kit-Kat" was loved, adored, and will forever be missed.   Kittie Ann Mosley leaves to cherish her memory, her loving mother, Lida Mosley Green, four brothers, Sip J. Hines, Jr. (Regina) of Houston; Dwight Mosley of Gloster; Calvin Green of Houston (Adrian); and, Robert Green (Orbra) of Arlington, Texas; two sisters, Johnnetta Hines Punch of Houston, (Danny), and Joyce King Richardson of Dallas. Kittie is survived by a host of beloved friends, cousins, uncles and aunts, nieces and nephews, including Delvin Mosley and Kevin Mosley of Houston, and, Rod Richardson, II, and Brandon Richardson of Dallas.
