Burial Date August 3, 2020
Church Grand Cane Baptist Church
A memorial service for Larry Allen Watson, 66, will be held on Monday, August 3, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. at Grand Cane Baptist Church, 1008 5th St., Grand Cane, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Brother Mike Scott and Brother Jamison May.
Larry was born on February 4, 1954 to Frank Llewelyn Watson and Muriel Lynn Parnell in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and passed away Thursday, July 30, 2020 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Larry was a resident of Shreveport and worked in the food service industry for over 25 years. In his younger years you could find him surfing in Port Isabel every weekend. Larry was described by everyone as the least judgmental person you would ever meet. His favorite teams are LSU football and the New Orleans Saints. Larry is described by his family as the most loving father and Pepaw in the whole world. He would always spoil his grandchildren with ice cream. Larry had a sense of humor that would make you laugh when you least expected it, especially with his dad jokes. He would do anything to help those around him and he’s the reason we are who we are today.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Carrie Sue Watson Lane. He is survived by daughters, Katy Lynn Watson Hannigan and husband, Austin Hannigan and Ainsley Watson Orr and wife Amber Orr; sister, Diana Lynn Watson Barber; brother, James Michael Watson; grandchildren, Cali Claire Poole, Kelsa Kenley Martin and Kalix Thomas Hannigan.
The family suggests memorials be made to his beloved church, Grand Cane Baptist Church.
This is not goodbye, but I will see you later.
