Lee Allbritton SHREVEPORT, LA - A memorial service for Mr. Lee Allbritton, age 89, will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Marshall Street Chapel. Officiating the service will be Dr. Doug Allen. Interment will follow at Centuries Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Lee Allbritton was born July 22, 1926 in the community of Forest, LA to Mary Barnhill Allbritton and Henry Purvis Allbritton. He was married to Maxine Tyler Allbritton for nearly 65 years, before he passed away on November 26, 2015 in Shreveport.Mr. Allbritton served in both the Army and the Air Force, retiring with 21 years service. He was a proud World War II veteran and was also retired from the City of Shreveport. He was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Blanchard, LA and volunteered his time for many years as a board member of the Pine Hill Water System. He is survived by his wife, Maxine Tyler Allbritton of Shreveport, LA; daughters, Diane Sheffield and Cindy Clements and husband, Ron, all of Shreveport, LA; grandchildren, Jessica Sheffield, Gray Sheffield, AnnaLee Sheffield all of Shreveport, LA and Kathryn Clements, of Baton Rouge, LA; great-granddaughter, Olivia McElwain of Shreveport, LA; brother, James W. Allbritton and sister, Betty Costa, both of Florida. Honoring Lee as pallbearers will be Everett Thomas, Gray Sheffield, Shane McElwain, Andrew Kirschman, Sam Levine, and Allen Greenway. The family would like to thank Dr. Robert Hernandez and Dr. Sally Ball, and the nurses at Willis Knighton Pierremont, with special thanks to Stacy. We also thank Sandra, Shannon, Shane and the Amedisys Team who helped care for him at home. In lieu of flowers, for friends considering memorials, the family suggests Alzheimer\'s Association , P. O. Box 96011, Washington DC 20090-6011, alz.org, or a cause that is meaningful to you.
