Lela Campbell

SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services celebrating the life of Mrs. Lela A. Campbell will be at 12:00 noon on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Interment will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Mrs. Campbell was born September 1, 1924 in Long Lake, LA and passed away June 17, 2015 in Shreveport, LA. She is preceded in death by her two sons, Willie Lee Reames and Henry W. Herrington. She is survived by her children, Jerry C. Reames, Sr. and wife, Janella, Victoria LaSyone, and James R. Herrington and wife, Chia; brothers, JW Mitchell and Bill Mitchell; 13 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers will be James R. Herrington, Jerry C. Reames, Sr., Jerry C. Reames, Jr., Mat A. LaSyone, Joshua R. Ambrose and James E. Ambrose. Honorary pallbearers will be Victoria Ambrose, Verniece J. Ambrose, Justin L. Reames and Matthew A. LaSyone. The family wishes to thank Willis Knighton North fifth floor west wing nurses, especially Danielle and Julie for their genuine care and concern.
