Shreveport, LA - Charles Logan Allen age 22, passed away on December 8, 2019 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Logan was born on March 22, 1997 in Bossier City, Louisiana.
Logan was always an athlete, excelling in everything he did. He was the offensive MVP for the state of Louisiana Class 1A, as well as All State Quarterback in high school. Logan graduated from Plain Dealing High School and was a senior at Louisiana State University in Shreveport. He had been an assistant coach for Captain Shreve High School in Shreveport for the past couple of years. Logan was a huge fan of the University of Texas Longhorns, UFC and top fighter Conor McGregor, and Elvis. Most of all he loved his family, friends, team mates, and players! He will be missed by anyone that had the privilege of knowing him.
Logan was preceded in death by his grandfather, Raymond Willis Myers. He is survived by his mother, Angela Myers Philan and husband Richard, his father, Jeffery Spencer Higdon; four siblings, Allison Allen, Austin Horstman, Lane Peeples and wife Kristin, and Tanner Philan; his beloved nephew, Malakai; and many close friends.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 13, 2019, at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, LA. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Broadmoor Presbyterian Church, 1915 Grover Pl, Shreveport, LA 71105. Brother Floyd Jordan will officiate. Graveside services will follow at Rose-Neath Cemetery, 5185 Swan Lake Spur, Bossier City, LA.
Honoring Logan as pallbearers will be: Allan Wilson, Kadin Malone, Bijan Mitchell, Jaret Gill, Gage Carraway, and Isaac Jacobs.
