Lois Morrow

Lois Virgin Leonard Morrow went to be with our Heavenly Father on Monday, May 25, 2015. In keeping with the wishes of Lois, there will be no funeral services, but we hope to honor her here in words. Lois was born February 8, 1929 to Essy and Adelle Leonard in Gretna, La. She met, fell in love, and married Robert William Leonard. They raised two children, Robert Joseph and Cheryl. Following the untimely passing of Robert William, Lois was lucky in love once again when she met Olen "Chuck" Morrow, a Navy veteran and Pearl Harbor survivor. Their love for travel and each other would take them across the United States and, eventually, to Reno, NV. where they lived out the rest of Chuck's life.

Lois then relocated to her home state of Louisiana to be with her children. A mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Lois was always surrounded by family and love, which she gave unconditionally and freely in return. Lois was an avid reader throughout her life and loved a good mystery and cop drama, a passion she shared with both her son and granddaughter. Lois lived a rich and full life. She was greatly loved and we will all miss hugs from our Grandma.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert William Leonard, and Chuck Morrow; her son, Robert Joseph Leonard; and her granddaughter, Rebecca Kothe Raymond. Lois is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Johnson and husband, Jay of Ponchatoula, La., and her daughter-in-law, Gladys Leonard of Shreveport, La.; grandchildren, Tanya Lee, Joseph Johnson, Brandy Bankston, and Dena Pruett; great-grandchildren, Savannah Gamble, Jeremiah Lee, Wyatt Lee, Cammie Bankston, Kayeleigh Bankston, and Joseph Bankston.
