GREENWOOD, LA - Funeral services for Louie Russell, 74, will be held 12:00 noon Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Bro. Larry Tucker. Interment will be held 2:00 p.m. in Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2014. Louie was born on March 28, 1940 in Fort Necessity, LA and passed away on November 26, 2014. He was a resident of Greenwood, LA and served our country in the US Army. Louie retired after 47 years from Piccadilly Management. He was loved by all and will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Lizzie Russell; son, Steven Russell; son-in-law, Lewis Thorla; brothers, Clarence Russell and Elbert Russell. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 54 years, Barbara Russell; sons, Tommy Russell and wife Pam and Timmy Russell; daughter, Sandy Thorla; sister, Ruth Garsee; grandchildren, Danielle Barnes and husband Chris, Jennifer Thorla, T.C. Russell, Nathan Thorla, Jonathan Thorla, Nicholas Russell, Michael Thorla and wife Jessica; great-grandchildren, Hailey Barnes, McKenzi Johnson, Tiger Thorla, and Eviana Thorla. Honoring Louie as pallbearers will be Nathan Thorla, Jonathan Thorla, Michael Thorla, Chris Barnes, Chris Swain, and Troy Burson. Rose-Neath Southside 2500 Southside Drive318-687-1256
