Lurline Davis Ramsey

Funeral services for Lurline Davis Ramsey, will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2020 10 a.m. at Grand Cane Baptist Church in Grand Cane, Louisiana. Visitation will be held at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana, on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Graveside services will follow at Mitchell Cemetery in Converse, Louisiana immediately following the services. Brother Jerrell Head, of Landmark Baptist Church, will officiate. Lurline was born on March 4, 1944 in Marthaville, Louisiana to Robert and Nora George Davis. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, October 19, 2020 in Shreveport, Louisiana. In July of 1965 she married the love of her life, Bobby R. Ramsey in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was a member of Landmark Baptist Church in Stonewall, Louisiana. She loved with all of her heart, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed spoiling her Chorkie puppy, Macy, and loved her flowerbeds, especially roses. Lurline is preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is also survived by one sister, Gertrude Smith; three sons, Robert R. Ramsey of Stonewall, Louisiana, Michael Ramsey and wife, Sandi of Benton, Louisiana, Allen Matthew Ramsey and wife, Melissa of Blanchard, Louisiana; one daughter, Maurice Dillard and husband Ken, of Gloster, Louisiana. Grandchildren: Amber Sawyer, Kristen Troquille, Brie Gregory, Branton Ramsey, Jamie Ramsey, Logan Ramsey and three great-grandchildren, Landon and Jase Zuniga and Emma Sawyer. Pallbearers: Branton Ramsey, Brad Sawyer, Rodney Burr, Joe George, Bill Partain and Leland Bissell. Honorary pallbearers: Landon and Jase Zuniga and Logan Ramsey. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Landmark Baptist Church in Stonewall, Louisiana. A special thanks to Ann Dickey of Lifepath Hospice for the care and compassion she showed our mother.
