Arcadia - Mrs. Madeline McGee Johnson passed away August 23, 2016 in Arcadia after a brief illness. Just shy of her 85th birthday, she lived a long and happy life loved by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Madeline was born on November 9, 1931 in Hico, LA, one of five children born to Durwood and Burmah Davis McGee. Madeline was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Arcadia where she was a faithful participant as long as her health allowed. Before retiring she worked as a poultry inspector for the United States Department of Agriculture for 10 years. She loved her family and loved taking pictures of them. She is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, J.T. Johnson, her parents, son Jerry Wayne Johnson, grandchildren Kelly Paige Johnson and Michelle Dawn Johnson, sister Frances Matlock, and brother Joe McGee. She is survived by two children son Robert "Rabbit" Johnson of Arcadia, daughter Jo Ann Beisch and husband John of Texarkana, AR, daughter in law Carolyn Johnson of Choudrant, by four grandchildren Jennifer Johnson Riser and husband Wynne of Choudrant, April Johnson Robichaux and husband Mike of Ruston, Scotty Johnson and wife Meg of Ruston, and Crystal Johnson Perritt and husband Bobby of Homer, by seven great-grandchildren Ali Robichaux, Gage Robichaux, Tucker Riser, Peyton Riser, Ginger Johnson, AJ Johnson, and Kyler Perritt, sister Becky Robinson and husband David of Dallas, sister Margaret Deason of Dubach, and by numerous other family and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Madeline Johnson will be held at First Baptist Church of Arcadia at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 28, 2016. Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Saturday August 27, 2016 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home. Bro. Jeff Hoffman will officiate at the service and the internment at the Arcadia Cemetery immediately following. Pallbearers will be Scotty Johnson, Mike Robichaux, Gage Robichaux, Wynne Riser, Tucker Riser, and Peyton Riser. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bobby Perritt and Kyler Perritt.
