They relocated from Kaufman to Dallas, TX in 1953 and spent most of their married life in Dallas and Shreveport.   Marian was a long-time member of Lakeview United Methodist Church in Shreveport. She was also an accomplished artist. She took up oil painting as a hobby while living in Dallas and continued painting until her failing eyesight made it impossible to continue. Today, Marian's works are cherished by many family members and friends. She also enjoyed being with friends from her book club and continued to meet with them regularly up until she became ill earlier this fall.   Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, December 31, 2016, at Forest Park West in Shreveport. Presiding at the funeral will be Marian's granddaughter, Rev. Valerie Robideaux of Chapel Hill, NC. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM the day of the service at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel.   Marian's family wishes to express their appreciation to the Willis-Knighton Health System, particularly the nurses and aids at The Oaks of Louisiana, the fourth floor nursing staff at Willis-Knighton Pierremont Health Center, and the gracious professionals at Willis-Knighton Hospice of Louisiana, for the care and support given to their love one, Marian.   In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation or your local United Way.
