Mark Alan Stroud, a loving Partner, Father to One Daughter, and Five "Bonus" Children, passed away at the age of 54, on May 9, 2019 in the comfort of his home in Blanchard, Louisiana. Mark was born September 24, 1964 at the England Air Force Base in Alexandria, Louisiana. He graduated from Pineville High School, in his childhood hometown of Pineville/Tioga, Louisiana, before Summer of 1982. He was the youngest of six children belonging to the parents, L.D. Stroud and Beverly Jean Stroud. Mark was a highly respected Mechanic for most of his adult life. He was well-known for his skills in automobile repairs, and repairs on heavy equipment/industrial machinery. He was employed at Daily Equipment, in Shreveport, Louisiana, for over 5 years. In his spare time, Mark enjoyed jamming to his favorite music, whether on the stereo, or pulling out old vinyl records; storm watching from his front porch, fishing with all of his grandbabies, building classic model cars, playing poker down on the farm with his poker buddies, and spending quality time with his close friends and family. Mark is survived by an abundant number of loved ones including the love of his life for over 16 years, Susan Daughtery Williams, of Blanchard, Louisiana; Daughter, Joan "Joni" Elizabeth Stroud, fiancée Paul Robbins, Jr. of Lake Charles, Louisiana; One grandson, Ryan Wayde Warner, and ex-wife, Wendy Hill, of Pineville, Louisiana. His Siblings, Fred Stroud, of Tuscon, Arizona; David Stroud, wife Becky, of Pineville, Louisiana; Carolyn S. Kiesel, Husband Floyd, of Boise, Idaho; Linda S. Hyde, Husband Kenneth, of Dry Prong, Louisiana; and Brian Stroud, partner Denice, of Georgia. His "Bonus" Children, Craig Weaver, Partner Autumn Jones, of Coushatta, Louisiana; Amanda W. Tucker, Husband Daniel, of Silsbee, Texas; Candice W. Morgan, Husband Tyler, of Doyline, Louisiana; Sherie Williams, of Shreveport, Louisiana; and Jerry Ray Williams, Jr., wife Katie, of Blanchard, Louisiana. He is also survived by 13 more "bonus" grandchildren, 2 of his closest nieces, Beverly "Bev" S. Outlaw, Husband Scotty, of Pineville, Louisiana; and Jessica "Jessie" S. Lachney, Husband Billy, of Pollock, Louisiana; amongst numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and his close friends. Mark is preceded in death by his parents, L.D. Stroud and Beverly Jean Stroud-Sigler; and Susan's parents, Billy and Marlene Daugherty. He will be missed by his Sidekick, Robbie Daugherty, his poker buddies, and his long-time best friend of over 20 years, David Simmons, who helped lead Mark into finding peace within himself and with God during his last months herein; along with numerous other friends he gained over his lifetime. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Blanchard Entertainment Pavilion, (in between the Poke Salad Fesitival Fairgrounds and the Blanchard Cemetery), in Blanchard, Louisiana, on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 12:00pm. Please wear your comfiest attire! Please feel free to bring your own ice chests for drinks, etc. Any food items brought, will be served along with other dishes. Food and Drink donations are kindly accepted and definitely appreciated! Mark loved to kick back, relax, and eat good food, so he would expect everyone he knew and loved, to come do the same!
