Martha Kendrick

Shreveport, LA - Funeral Services for Martha Kendrick, 67, will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Southside Chapel. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 29, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral Home. Martha was born November 1, 1952 in Shreveport, LA, the daughter of Charlie and Louise Swain Poole. She passed away Saturday, January 25, 2020 in Shreveport. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Louise Poole, brother, Martin Poole; sister-in-law, Dianne Poole; and nephew, Gabriel Poole. Martha retired from Louisiana State University Medical Center after working 28 years as a R.N. She was truly a "one in a million lady". When Martha entered a room it would light up, she was full of life and the life of the party. She was truly loved by those who knew her and would love back with every ounce of her being. She loved riding her Harley Sportster and would participate in countless poker runs for charity, take long out of state trips to ride in the mountains of Arkansas in the Hot Springs area. Martha absolutely loved and felt alive on the lake and would treat her family to some of the best times of their lives out on her party barge on Cross Lake. She also loved cooking out with her family and grandkids while watching her SAINTS. If you heard that loud whistle yes, Martha was in the area! Left to cherish her memory is her finance', Teddy Brewster; her children, Kimberly Kendrick Wise and husband Josh, Shelley Massey and Aaron Kendrick and wife Crystal; 10 grandchildren, Tristan Wise and wife Haley, Chase Wise and finance' Natalie, Kailey Wise, Arielle Kendrick, Aaron Kendrick, Jr., Raelynn Kendrick, Christian Kendrick, Taylor Porter, Anna Porter and Creighton Massey; father of her children, Jere Kendrick; two sisters, Peggy Williams and husband Jerry, Carolyn Price and husband Claude; three brothers, Russel Poole, Steve Poole and wife, Jan, Roger Poole and wife, Sandy; sister in law, Pamela Poole wife of Martin Poole, deceased twin brother and numerous nieces and nephews.
