Martha McMullan was born November 13, 1929, to Ernest Newell Reid and Willie Adella Coffee in Kilgore, TX and passed away on December 24, 2018, in Shreveport, LA. Mrs. McMullan was a kind, gentle and loving woman. She was a member of First Baptist Church Blanchard, Fidelis Sunday School class and Blanchard Homemakers. She retired from the Louisiana Tourist Center, where her job was to give directions to visitors visiting our state. She was quite the expert at reading maps upside down. Her talents didn't stop there; she was the master of all grilled cheeses, she could hem up anything and could sew the absolute best Halloween costumes, she had perfected the art of catching lizards on her back porch during the summers, and many afternoons you could find her and PawPaw gathered around the kitchen table playing cards. There was no doubt the love she had for her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. Family was everything to her. All who knew her will undoubtedly miss her.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 70 years, Mr. E.R. McMullan. Martha is survived by her son, Everett McMullan and wife, Denise of St. Louis, MO; daughters, Linda Moncrief and husband, Ray of Whitley City, KY; Rebecca Stephens and husband, Eddie Of Whitley City, KY, Connie Stinson and husband, Randy of Blanchard, LA, Ann Wells and husband, Jim of Cythiana, KY; fourteen grandchildren; and twenty-one great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank The Glen for the wonderful care she had received while she was a resident there. A special thanks to Natasha, Brittani, Deno, Sally and Annette.
