Arcadia-Mary Anglin, 85, was born in Garner, TX on August 24, 1930. On Sunday, September 13, she was carried home to our glorious heaven. Mary was a Godly woman. She had a kind and sweet spirit, was hospitable and generous, and succeeded at her roll of wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and compassionate friend. Her smile, laugh, wit and ability to make everyone feel welcome will be greatly missed. Those left to cherish her memory are Herman Anglin, her husband of 12 years from Athens, LA, her daughter Mellody Holden of Slidell, LA, granddaughter, Shellie Hooper and husband Scott, three great-grandchildren, Mary "Kaitlin" Hooper, Christopher S. Hooper and Caleb J. Hooper, all of Dublin, TX, two step-daughters, Paulette Beavers of Athens, LA, and Cynthia Hall and husband Donnie of Houston, TX. Mary also leaves her sister, Dorothy Skinner of Ardmore, OK, brother Richard Barrett of New York, NY and countless number of nieces and nephews spanning 3 generations, as well as her oldest and dearest friend of nearly 60 years, Lea Atkins of Lafayette, LA. She is preceded in death by her first husband of 2 years, Ray "Bobby" Anderson, her second husband of 44 years, W.L. "Sonny" Haley, her parents Lillian and Bill Barrett, brother, John Barrett and sisters Charlotte Boyd and Garnell Moore. Viewing will be at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Arcadia on Tuesday, September 15, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Her funeral services will be Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. Following the funeral, a grave side service will be held in Pleasant Hill, LA at the Progress Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery, where Mary will be laid to rest. Pallbearers will be Chris Hooper, Caleb Hooper, Chris Jett, Patrick Jett, Tommy Beavers, Donnie Hall, Heath Lovitt and Timothy Mayberry. Honorary pallbearers will be Clint Faulk and Dakota Faulk.
