Mary Francis Scarborough

Funeral services for Mary Francis Scarborough will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Dr., Bossier City, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Rose-Neath Cemetery in Bossier City, Louisiana. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Officiating the service will be Pastor Lorraine Pennington and Pastor Gerry Woolman. Mary was born on March 13, 1954 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Edward and Mary Deen and passed away Monday, February 8, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Mary had many passions and hobbies which included drawing, painting, attending church and family events, fly fishing, and doing interior design for others. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandkids and the time they spent together making jewelry. Mary is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Edward W. Deen, Jr.; father-in-law, John Robert Scarborough and grandson, Zachary Solan Peterson. She is survived by her husband, John Scarborough; daughter, Bridget Peterson and husband, Ronnie; son, David Scarborough and wife, Sarah; grandchildren, Samantha "Sammy" Peterson and Parker Ann Scarborough; brothers, Robert Deen and wife, Patty, David Deen and wife, Lisa, James Deen and wife, Rhonda, Norman Deen and wife, Julia, Marvin Deen and Kenneth Deen and wife, Kathy; sister, Edith Deen and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Honoring Mary as pallbearers will be David Scarborough, Ronnie Peterson, Rodney Born, Patrick Deen, Avery Deen, Matthew Born and Adam Born. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Allen Maynard, David Woolman and Myron Prince. The family would like to express special thanks to Christus Highland staff and nurses Sandra, Choca, John and Michelle.
