Mary Joe Davenport Thomas

Shreveport, LA - Mary Joe Davenport Thomas age 87, passed away on June 28, 2020 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Mrs. Thomas was born to D.H., Jr. and Dessie Davenport on October 25, 1932 in Lakeview, Texas. She was a homemaker all of her life and loved to quilt and sew. She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church and a member of the Red River Quilters. Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years Robert R. Thomas, Sr. ; daughter, Margaret Elizabeth Morgan; and sister, Martha Pearl Davenport Salmon. She is survived by her son, Robert R. Thomas, Jr. and wife Angela of Rockwall, Texas; four grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Graveside Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 11 , at Forest Park East Cemetery, 3700 St Vincent Ave, Shreveport, LA. Father James Yancell will be officiating the service.
