Maudine Hooker, 75, joined her loving husband in paradise on September 25, 2018. Lovingly known as "Mimi" to most, she was born and raised in Shreveport, LA. She married Jack on December 20, 1967. Her family was her life, and everything she did was for them. Mimi was a member of the Simple Church, where she loved to hear Justin preach.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jack; her parents, George and Nell Honley; and her son Jack, Jr. Mimi leaves behind her twin sister, Claudine; brother, Glen (wife Carol); and her children, Julie Bohannan (children Shelly (husband Mike) and Matt (Abby), Teri Hooker and her son Logan (wife Chelly), Tricia Tyler (children Landon, Allie, and Olivia), Tommy Tyler (children Morgan, Laynie, and Bailyn), Jessica Burden (children Skylar, Mason, and Jolie), Jenny Hooker (children Abbie and Emily), Darlene Tyler, and Eddie Burden (wife Donna, children Kyler and Lyndsey). Mimi also leaves behind great grandchildren, Nova Easom, Saydee Clopper, and Kaden Ramsey (including honorary grandchild Jack Young and his sister Ana), as well as many other children she has loved and helped raise throughout her life.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 28, 2018 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel with Rev. Justin Haigler officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Park West Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 27, 2018 at the funeral home.
Honoring Mimi as pallbearers will be Thomas Tyler, Logan Easom, Matt Bohannan, Mike Clopper, Brad Tupper, and Jimmy Burson.
The family wishes to give special thanks to Aime Hospice. While no words can ever replace her, we hope that a piece of her spirit can live on in each of us, and that we too can impact as many lives as our Mimi has. Rest easy sweet mom, you taught us well. We've got it from here.
