SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral Services for M. Maxine Allbritton, 87, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 21, 2018, at First Baptist Church Blanchard, with Dr. Doug Allen officiating. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery, Shreveport, LA. The Family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, LA and from 1:00 p.m. until service time Friday at the church.
Maxine was born March 28, 1931, to Warren McDuffie Tyler, Jr. and Myrtle Beatrice Flowers Tyler and passed away September 12, 2018, in Shreveport, LA. She was a graduate of Fair Park High School and then went on to graduate from Business College with an Associate's Degree. She enjoyed traveling the world with her husband and was an avid reader and shopper. She was very involved and committed to her family. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church Blanchard, teaching Sunday School and V.B.S. Maxine enjoyed assisting the elderly in her community.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, Ivey Lee Allbritton and sister, Dorothy Green. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Diane Sheffield and Cindy Clements and husband Ron; sister, Evelyn Thomas; brother, W. M. Tyler, Jr. and wife Carolyn; grandchildren, Jessica Sheffield, Gray Tyler Sheffield and Brooke Patterson, AnnaLee Sheffield and Andrew Kirschman of Thornton, CO and Kathryn Clements of Baton Rouge, LA; great-granddaughter, Olivia McElwain; and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers and Honorary Pallbearers will be Ron Clements, Gray Sheffield, Don Feibel, Chris Tyler, Everett Thomas, Gene Wilkerson, Alf Flowers, Carl Flowers, Gary Sheffield, John Rogers and Nick Winderweedle.
The family thanks Sandra Milles and the staff at the Oakes for their love and care.
