Michael L. Perkins

Cotton Valley, LA - Funeral services for Michael L. Perkins, 69, will be at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, July 31, 2017 at Rose-Neath's Bossier Chapel. Officiating will be Steven Wilkinson and Landry Wilkinson. Interment will follow at New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, Rocky Mount, LA. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 30, 2017 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City, LA. Michael was born to Carl and Annie Mae Perkins in Shreveport, LA on May 13, 1948 and died July 26, 2017 in Bossier City. He was of the Baptist faith. Michael was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Billy D. Meeks. He is survived by sisters, Vickie Burks and husband, Shelton of Ivan, Beverly Wilkinson of Stonewall, Shirley Ferguson and husband, Carl of Shreveport; brothers, Robert Perkins of Monroe, and Danny Perkins of Shreveport and numerous nieces and nephews. Honoring Michael as pallbearers will be, Bobby Wilkinson, Richard Ross, Chad Boyett, Skylar Belcher, Cardis Wilkinson and Shelton Burks. The family would like to thank Dr. Kenneth Mekelburg, Dr. Thomas Rodsuwan, Dr. Tommy Richardson and Dr. Ted Warren for their care of Michael.
