Services celebrating the life of Nicholas Lee Copeland will be at 12 noon, Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Cypress Baptist Church in Benton, LA. Nick's Uncle, Rev. Tim Dye will be honoring him, assisted by Rev. Trey McGuire and Rev. Jim Manning. Visitation will be prior to the service on Saturday, beginning at 10am at Cypress. The graveside gathering will follow at Rose-Neath Cemetery in Bossier City.
Nick was born on August 31, 1989 in Shreveport, LA to parents, Leah Fanene and Arthur Copeland. Nick went to be with the Lord on August 7, 2018 in Jasper, AB, Canada. Nick was a devoted husband and hands-on dad. He was passionate about his job with Fidelity Investments as a Financial Advisor. During his 28 years of life, Nick made an impact on everyone he encountered.
He was received into heaven by his grandfather, Dr. Simon Bewell Combs, Jr.; grandmother, Norma Lea Welch Chance and his mother-in-law, Angela Dye Elkins.
Left to carry on his legacy are his wife, Sarah Copeland and their son, William Tate Copeland of Houston; his mother, Leah Fanene of Leesville and father, Arthur Copeland of Zwolle, his grandmother, Barbara Byrd of Shreveport; fathers-in-law, Curtis Elkins of Benton, Charlie Fullerton of Natchitoches and sisters, Sarai Fanene and Ashley Fanene both of Leesville as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Honoring Nick as pallbearers will be, Chance Neel, Josh Hefner, Kyle Ballard, David Larsen, Jacob Ambrose and Brad Ezernack. Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be his father, Arthur.
