Nora Elizabeth Mason (Billie) Sanders, 87, was born on April 27, 1927 and entered into rest on March 24, 2015 at Sabine Retirement and Rehabilitation Center in Many, LA.  She was a homemaker and resided in Shreveport for the majority of her life until illness caused her to relocate.

Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Funeral Home in Shreveport, LA with Bro. Kent Rhoads officiating.  Interment will follow at Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on March 27, 2015 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Funeral Home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lottie Mason; husband, Curtis B. Sanders; daughter, Mary Alice Champion, grandsons, Danny Killian, James (Juno) A. Killian Jr., and Thomas Bailey Killian; great-grandson, James (Trey) A. Killian III; three brothers and three sisters.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Jeannet Dewil and husband, Joe Dewil, her daughter, Brenda Carte and husband, Mike Carte; grandchildren, Nora Kettler, Vernon Champion, Steve Champion, Jennie Cook, Joe Dewil Jr., Sonia Pearson, Michael Carte Jr., and Curtis Bailey Carte; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers for the service will be members of the family.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thanks to the staff of Sabine Retirement and Rehabilitation Center, Dr. Peter Lau, and Hospice of Natchitoches for their compassionate care during her final years.
