Funeral services honoring the life of Norman Arbuckle will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 26, 2021 located at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Logansport, Louisiana. Presiding over the service will be Rev. Nancy Wofford and Rodney Arbuckle. Interment will follow the service located at O.E. Price Cemetery in Logansport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday prior to service. Norman was born on June 7, 1935 in Fitch Town, Oklahoma to Jess Arbuckle and Addie Alexander Arbuckle. He entered into eternal rest on February 19, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Norman was a Mason in the Masonic Lodge. He served as First Sergeant MP in the United States Army. Norman was a lifelong resident of Logansport where he never met a stranger. Norman played football and graduated from Logansport High School in 1954. He served on the Logansport City Council, Logansport Chamber of Commerce, Sabine River Authority. He was a member of the Krewe of Aquarius where he was crowned King(2004). In 2020, Norman was named Grand Marshall of the Logansport Christmas Parade. Norman loved his community and the people in it. His favorite past time was spending time in his boat on the Sabine River. He never missed an opportunity to talk about how the fish were biting. He loved spending time at Prince's Barber shop and with his friends at Garrett's Park. Norman is preceded by his parents, Jess and Addie Arbuckle; his son, John R. Arbuckle; and his granddaughters, Tori Leigh Cliff and Ashley Gail Smith. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jeannine Arbuckle of Logansport, LA; his daughters, Rose "FeFe" Arbuckle Egloff and husband Johnny K of Frierson, LA and MaryLou Arbuckle Smith and husband Don Wendall of Tenaha, TX; his son, Norman Terry Arbuckle of Logansport, La; his brother, Buford Huff of Stonewall, LA; along with 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Honoring Norman as pallbearers will be Shelby Johnson, Jeff Rogers, Andrew Egloff, Justin Smith, Alex Tucker, and Steven Tucker. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Noel Tucker, Kurt Arbuckle, David Huff, and Judge Cordray. The family would like to thank the staff at Highland Hospital ER and ICU. A very special thank you to Kaylin Smith, RN for being there with him.
