Opal Pierce

SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Opal Pierce, 82, will be held at 12 noon Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Roger Morton. Interment will follow in Sanders Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Larry Tucker officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 21, 2014. Opal was born on January 19, 1932 in Campti, LA to Joseph and Elma Trichel. She passed away on November 18, 2014. She was a resident of Shreveport and was employed as an airport security officer. She was preceded in death by her parents. Left to cherish her sweet memory are her daughters, Linda Emert, Debbie Tanner, Alta Adcock, and son James Pierce; 21 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
