SHREVEPORT, LA - A celebration of Life memorial service for Mrs. Pamela Boyter Stephenson, 62, is scheduled to be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 9, 2017, at Woodridge Baptist Church, Shreveport, LA. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Officiating will be Dr. Chuck McInturf and Pastor Greg Davis. Pam was born June 1, 1955, in Shreveport, LA to Erma Jean Maddry Boyter and Roy James Boyter and passed away Monday evening, September 4, 2017, at her home surrounded by her family. She was married to her best friend, high-school sweetheart and love of her life for 42 years, Shell Stephenson. They were blessed with four beautiful daughters and six wonderful grandchildren. Pam enjoyed playing the piano and singing her gospel songs, she loved spending time with her family and most of all she loved her Lord and Savior. Pam was a member of Woodridge Baptist Church and the Journey Sunday School class. Pam was preceded in death by her mother, Erma Jean Maddry Boyter. Left to cherish her memory are her father, her husband, sister Sue B. Acosta (Dan) of Shreveport, LA; four daughters, Michelle Causey (Duke Scott) of Elm Grove, LA, Heather Hayter (Jay) of Shreveport, LA, Jenny Clark (Chris) of Bossier City, LA, and Chrissy Newman (Esthman) of Shreveport, LA; and her six grandchildren, Emily Causey, Ty Causey, Jack Hayter, Leighann Hayter, Cayden Clark, and Shelly Clark. Serving Pam as honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Boyter, Christopher Acosta, Jonathan Acosta, Robbie Briggs, Jason Briggs, Curt Joiner, Terry Thrash and Seth Edwards. The family would like to thank the Willis Knighton Cancer Center, Dr. Anil Velovolu and staff, Amedysis Hospice and staff, as well as Dr. Randy del Mundo for all the love, support and care. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials may be made to Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation, 10 Corporate Hill Drive, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205, Woodridge Baptist Church building fund, 850 E Bert Kouns Industrial Loop, Shreveport, LA 71106, or any Cancer Foundation.
