Patricia Lynn Bucy Thompson, born Nov. 19, 1962 in Indianapolis, Indiana and died peacefully in her sleep on Friday, June 19, 2020. Patricia will have a small family graveside memorial on June 26, 2020 at 4:30 p.m. at Forest Park Cemetery West. Patricia is preceded in death by her parents John Harden Bucy from Terre Haute, Indiana and Vivian May Hammond Bucy of Frankfort, Kentucky. Patricia is survived by her children; son, Matthew Jason Thompson 10 years in US Navy and his wife Sarah of Houston, TX.; daughter, Heather Lynn Thompson Creasey and husband Christopher of Shreveport; her siblings, John Harden Bucy II of Austin, TX., Billie Fae Bucy Smith of Shreveport, LA,; and 6 grandchildren; Ashley May Thompson, Bailee Cade Creasey, who will be attending the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD starting this year, Zach Thompson, Madison Creasey, Michael Thompson, and Christopher Thompson. Patricia was born in Indiana, youngest of 3 children, and was always surrounded by animals. She had a poodle, Bobby, as a kid and birds, fish, and cats around as an adult. She was always a kind, smiling, and helpful person. She had a big heart for animals and people. Patricia moved to Shreveport with her parents in 1970. She attended Southwood High School. She married James Thompson, US Navy in 1980-1997 and has lived in Louisiana, California, Arizona and Guam while being a homemaker and raising her children then moved back to Shreveport and has been ever since. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Roseview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their care the last few years. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate memorial contribution to Port City Cat Rescue 1826 Benton Road, Bossier City, LA 71111 (portcitycatrescue.org) or the charity of your choice.
