Percy succumbed of medical complications on September 13, 2020. He was born April 14, 1941 in Many, Louisiana and his parents were Clio and Edna Curtis of Many. He graduated from Many High School. Percy then went to Northwestern State University and graduated with two degrees, Mathematics and Physics. Most of Percy's adult life was spent in Minden, La. There will be a memorial service to celebrate Percy's life on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at St. John's Episcopal Church, 1107 Broadway Street, Minden, Louisiana. The service is at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation in his name may be made to the charity of your choice. Percy was preceded in death by beloved wife of 53 years Mollie Virginia Curtis, his parents and his brother James R Curtis of Sherman, Texas. Percy is survived by his son Trey Curtis and wife Amy of West Monroe, daughter Kim Cockerham of Winnfield; daughter Amber Mumphrey and husband Robert of San Antonio, Texas. He has five grandchildren. Granddaughters: Sydney and Saylor Curtis of West Monroe, and Paige Cockerham of Winnfield. Grandsons: Ty Murry of Huntsville, Arkansas, and Preston Mumphrey of San Antonio, Texas. Percy has one great-grandson Kaiden Furlow of Winnfield, LA. The family wishes to say thank you to the wonderful staff of Willis Knigthton of Bossier City. Percy spent his last week of his life in wonderful care. There are a far too many medical staff over his last twenty years to thank, but special thanks to Dr. Paul Cole, cardiologist from WK-Bossier, Dr. Philip Thompson, oncologist from MD Anderson, and Dr. Dhawan, oncologist from Minden, LA.
