A funeral service for Phillip Morris Coleman will be held on Sunday, July 5, 2020 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home. Visitation will start at 10:00 a.m. and continue until time of service. Internment will be at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Calhoun, Louisiana. The service will be officiated by Rev. Tom Runyon.

Phillip was born on August 28, 1939 to William Ike and wife, Veanie Lee Coleman in Glen Allen, Mississippi. He passed away July 1, 2020 in Bossier City, Louisiana.

He was married to his best friend and the love of his life, Marie, for 44 years until God called her home. He was a house painter by trade, but in his early days he was a United Pentecostal Minister. If anyone were to ask him a question about the bible, he’d take that opportunity to sit for hours just to talk about Jesus. He loved to play his guitar and sing, and he would never get rid of anything that was broken cause he was going to “fix it” one day. He always told his family, “Always remember I love you”, and they always will.

Phillip was proceeded in death by his parents; wife, Marie Coleman; son, Joey Armstrong; daughter, Kimberly Coleman and brothers, Othel, Sonny, and Wayne Coleman

He is survived by, sons, Samuel Coleman and wife, Beverly, Bill Coleman; daughter, Marlene Garrard and husband, James; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Honoring Phillip as pallbearers will be, James Garrard, Jr. Phillip Martinez, Daniel Stoll, Dustin Taylor, Jeremy Bullard, and Randy Chase.

The family suggest memorials be made to the American Heart Association at 7272 Greenville Ave.
