Robby Pate

Graveside services for Mr. Robby Pate 72, will be conducted at 10:30 AM on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Centuries Memorial Park. Mr. Pate was born December 20, 1946 in Shreveport, LA to Marguerite and Clyde Pate. He passed away after a brief illness on Friday, September 27, 2019 in Shreveport. Robby was the owner of Caddo Bossier Metals in Shreveport for many years. He attended the Cowboy Church in Greenwood, LA. Robby was loved by many in the dirt track community, especially Boothill Speedway and he was a huge fan of NASCAR. He also had a passion for hunting. Robby was always willing to lend a hand and would help a stranger if needed. Robby was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his ex-wife of 37 years, Kathleen Pate; daughter, Kristan Pate and fiancée Daniel Whiddon; two granddaughters, AnnaMarie Carrington and Paten Carrington and fiancée Jack Sirman; two grandsons, Chase Nelson and Colten Nelson; two stepsons, Michael Nelson and Patrick Nelson; sister, Rita Bates and husband Jim; great granddaughter, Luna; three nieces; and many friends and loved ones! Kristan would like to thank ALL the doctors, nurses, and staff at Willis Knighton Pierremont ICU for taking such great care of Robby and taking every possible measure to do what was in his best interest and keep him comfortable!
