LISBON, LA:  He fought the good fight, he finished the race and kept the faith. Our beloved husband, daddy, granddaddy and friend went to be with his Heavenly Father on July 4, 2016 following a lengthy illness.

 Mr. Robert Milton Tippett was born on September 11, 1929 to the late Lee and Bessie Tippett.  He leaves behind his wife of 62 years Evelyn Andrews Tippett; children, Cindy Tippet Spears, Susan and Larry Butts, Sandra and Mike Lee, and Andrea Tippett; The loves of his life include grandchildren Caroline Spears, Clayton Lee, Clint Lee, Matthew Butts and Paul Michael Butts.

Funeral services were scheduled for Thursday, July 7 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Homer. The family received friends for visitation on Wednesday, July 6 from 4-6 p.m.

He is survived by his sisters Celeste Whitten, Beverly Tippett, Anne Tressa and brother, Gordon Tippett; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers were Clayton Lee, Clint Lee, Matthew Butts, Paul Michael Butts, Buddy Andrews and Dean Lento.

Honorary pallbearers were Clyde C. Hightower, Skipper Brown, Barry Tinsley and Pat Lento.
