Arcadia - Services for Bob Roe will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 1:30 pm at First Baptist Church of Bienville with Reverend Mel Campbell officiating.
Bob Roe passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2018.
Bob was born in Martin, Louisiana on December 7, 1925. After graduating from Martin High in Martin Louisiana, Bob attended Business College in Shreveport. He went on to serve his country in World War Two in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Sea Devil in the Pacific theater. While visiting a friend in the hospital, he met Martha Poole, the love of his life. They were married September 23, 1950. Bob worked for Exxon in Shreveport and Houston as a senior accountant and retired from Exxon to Bienville after 30 years of service. He was a devoted member and deacon of First Baptist church of Bienville. He had a love for NBA Basketball and enjoyed raising cattle.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Maude Roe, his wife Martha Poole Roe, a son Brian Andrew Roe and Brothers Jack and Fred Roe.
Bob is survived by two sons, Glen Roe and Richard Roe and wife Melanie, 5 grandchildren Burke, Sarah, Kala, Casey and Jamie and 9 great grandchildren.
The family would like to express their appreciation to all those who helped him continue to live on his ranch in Bienville after the passing of his wife. A special thanks to Thomas Gadon Brice and Dell Priest.
