Robert Whitehurst

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, LA for Robert Lee Whitehurst, 81, who passed away on July 21, 2018. Burial will take place in Mansfield Cemetery.

Robert adored and loved his grandchildren and spent as much time as he could with all of them. He was devoted to his family and his church and rarely missed a family gathering, bible study or church services.

Mr. Whitehurst, a resident of Lafayette, was the son of the late Richard Whitehurst and the former Alma Murray. He is survived by his children, Robert Lee Whitehurst and wife, Nina, Walter Richard Whitehurst and Jeffrey Murray Whitehurst and wife, Carol; grandchildren, Ross, Dan, Meg, Rowan, Arden, William "Gus" and Elizabeth Whitehurst; two brothers, Charles and Douglas Whitehurst. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Elizabeth Irene Whitehurst.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Rose-Neath Funeral Home - Mansfield, LA on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 from 1:00PM until time of service.
