Graveside services honoring the life of Rory Glynn LeGrand will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, June 28, 2020 at Grove Hill Cemetery in Pelican, Louisiana with Bro. Larry Pridmore officiating. A visitation with the family will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, Louisiana from 11:30-12:00 for family and 12:00-2:00 for friends.
Rory was born on August 16, 1956 in Shreveport, Louisiana to James and Billie LeGrand. He entered into eternal rest on June 25, 2020 in Murfreesboro, Arkansas surrounded by family while camping.
Rory’s life was filled with his love for Lisa and her happiness, his face lit up every time she walked into the room. His gift of music and love for his guitars filled both of their lives with joy. His memories were filled with his friends that he played with in the Dolet Hills Band and Doc Leigh and the Buzzard band. Since retirement, their time has been filled with camping adventures with family and friends.
Rory was preceded by his parents, James and Billie LeGrand and his brother, Rick LeGrand.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 44 years, Lisa Raines LeGrand; sister, Mona Hill and husband Tom; brothers and sisters-in law, Bill and Sharon Shetley, Ken and Suzy Crocker, and Jackie and Pam Raines; numerous nieces and nephews, along with his fur baby, Gabby.
Honoring Rory as pallbearers will be Jaxon Dumas, Kenli Dumas, Shane Crocker, Beaux Holtzclaw, Leeland Durham, Steve Sloan, Lonnie DeSoto, and Herb Kendrick. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Hall, Kelvin Canada, Kris Hill, and Todd Hill.
The family would like to thank Dr. Bikak at Willis-Knighton North and Dr. Beedupalli and the staff at Feist-Weiller for their care and attention over the past year.
