Bossier City, LA - A Mass of Christian Burial for Rose Peters Capuano will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Officiating will be Father Mark Watson assisted by Father Pike Thomas. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Cemetery, Haughton, LA. Visitation will be at Christ the King Thursday from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m.
Rose was born November 18, 1923 in Bossier City, LA and passed away April 30, 2019 in Bossier City, LA. Rose was a devoted member of her Catholic Faith. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and also attended Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and was loved by all who knew her. Rose was the oldest surviving member of the Peters Grocery family that was established in 1923.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vince Capuano; son, Mickey Capuano; brother, Sam Peters, Jr.; great niece, Melissa Rose Maggio and parents, Sam Peters, Sr. and Sadie Fulco Peters.
Rose is survived by her sister, Connie Peters of Bossier City, LA; daughter-in-law, Lola Capuano of Bossier City, LA; sister-in-law, Josephine Capuano Peters; nephew, Tommy Peters; special nieces, Sharon Maggio and husband, Vince and Patricia Mitchell; grandchildren, Sadie Capuano and Vince Capuano; step grandchildren, Melissa Dougharty and Clayton Dougharty; great grandchildren, Maddy Dougharty, Jovi Dougharty, Emma Norman, Owen Underwood, and Jack Underwood and great nieces and nephews, Sara Jo Williams, Connie Gumn, Candace Brickner, Tim Mitchell and Brandon Peters.
Family members will serve as pallbearers.
The family would like to give and special "Thank you" to the staff of Christus Hospice, especially Susan, Denise and Johnette, who were special caregivers and to her sitters, Shemika and Debbie.
