Ruby Joyce Cryer

Funeral services for Ruby Joyce Cryer will be held on Monday, December 16, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Dr., Bossier City, Louisiana. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Officiating the service will be Brother James Lee. Ruby was born on April 22, 1941 to Cleveland O. Brown and Nell Green Brown in Shreveport, Louisiana and passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2019 in Pahrump, Nevada. Ruby was a simple country girl who loved her rose bushes and never met a stranger and she enjoyed helping others. She loved to cook for her family and canning vegetables every summer. She loved to shop and loved her old western shows, that she knew by heart. She had a standing appointment every Friday at her beauty shop. She would joke when she left that she felt like she was a new woman! Ruby is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Billy Cryer; brother, C.O. Brown; granddaughter, Chasity Kennedy and grandson, Chris Sharpley. She is survived by sons, Clinton Sharpley and wife, Suzanne, Bobby Sharpley, Hubert Sharpley and wife, Teresa and James Sharpley and wife, Tori; daughter, Elizabeth Boyter and husband, Kenny; brother, Norman Woodall and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Honoring Ruby as pallbearers will be Bobby Sharpley, Jr., Randy Churchwell, Riley Daniels, Jesse Sharpley, William Guerra and James Matlcok. Ruby will be deeply missed by friends, family and all that knew her.
