Sandra Hartsfield Arnold, 79, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2020, in her home at Brookdale in Mandeville, Louisiana with her family by her side. A memorial service will be held at Rose-Neath Bossier Chapel on Friday, September 25, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. with a visitation starting an hour prior to service.
Sandra was born on August 15, 1941 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Jerry and Lawanna Hartsfield. She graduated from Minneola High School in New York in 1959. She went to Northwestern State University where she was a High Stepper. She was a longtime resident of Bossier City and a devoted member of the Shreveport Women's Club and First Baptist of Bossier choir. Sandra was known for her Christian values and elaborate fashion. Sandy very much enjoyed modeling, interior design, gardening, and family. She was a devoted daughter, mother, wife, grandmother, and friend. She was one of a kind and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Lawanna Hartsfield; husband, Austin Arnold Sr.; and granddaughter, Raena Hughes. She is survived by her sister, Susan Hartsfield; children, Hunter Hughes, Hayes Hughes and wife, Angie, and Holly Hughes Langlois; step-children, Susan Brozovic and husband John, and A. Alan Arnold Jr.; her grandchildren, Garin Hughes and wife, Shannon, Taylor Hughes, Christopher Arnold, Alexi Langlois, Hanna Hughes, Sabrina Langlois, William Brozovic, Katherine Brozovic, Tristan Hughes, and her new great grandson, Maddox Hughes.
The family will be holding a gathering after the memorial service for anyone who would like to come or was unable to make it to the service. Food, fellowship, and stories are all welcomed. Gathering will be held at the home of Adam and Britney Bass at 1055 Fawn Hollow, Bossier City, Louisiana 71111 following the service.
