BOSSIER CITY, LA - A Memorial Service for Sandra Cockrell Giska, 71, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 22, 2018, at Rose-Neath Bossier Chapel, with Rev. Karl Klaux officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Sandra was born October 1, 1946 in Minden, LA to Jennie Hawk and C. D. Cockrell and passed away March 17, 2018 in Bossier City, LA. She was a retired Banking Manager. She was a loving daughter, mother, sister, and grandmother, and a friend to many whom will dearly miss her. She was preceded in death by her father, C. D. Cockrell. Left to cherish her memory is her mother, Jennie Cockrell of Bossier City, LA; son, Raymond R. Giska, Jr. and wife Susan of Holly Springs, NC; brother, Donnie D. Cockrell and wife Felicia of Benton, LA; grandchildren, Grace, Noah, and Evelyn Giska; nephews, Cameron Cockrell and wife Kellie and their children, Addison and Candlar, and Cory Cockrell and wife Amanda. The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Northwest Louisiana Veterans Home, 3130 Arthur Ray Teague Pkwy, Bossier City, LA 71112, or St. Jude Children\'s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
