Sarah Jean Burge

Haughton, LA - Services for Sarah Jean Burge will be 10 a.m. Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Rose-Neath Bossier Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Cleve Cyrus of Bellevue Union Church. Interment will follow at Bellevue Family Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Rose-Neath Bossier. Sarah was born June 21, 1937 in Ringgold, LA to Loraine and Edna Scott and died October 28, 2018 in Bellevue, LA. She retired from the Bossier Parish School Board as a bus driver. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Jim Gordon Burge. Sarah is survived by her son, Mitch Burge and wife, Judy; daughter, Vickie Rhodes and husband, Johnny, all of Bellevue, LA; grandchildren, Jeremy Burge, Kristie Mills (Kenny), Katie Maxey (Phillip), Korie Rhodes; four great grandchildren; one great-great grandson and sisters, Audrey Bolin (Richard) and Marie Percival (David). Honoring Sarah as pallbearers will be, Kenny Mills, Phillip Maxey, Joseph Moore, Jeremy Burge, Bryce Mills and Saban Mills. Honorary pallbearers will be, Mike Walker, Lynn Beaty, T.E. Williams and Cotton O'Neal.
