Stefanee Spurlock

"Every name is a touchstone that leads to a place and time where God has used another's heart to reach out and touch mine." Jerri Stefanee Dillard Spurlock, age 52, of the Hurricane Community went to her peaceful eternal home on October 29, 2020. She was born on June 5,1968 to her parents, Judy Pixley Dillard, and Jerry Dillard. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Bessie and Bill Dillard, maternal grandparents, Jewel and Hulon Pixley, sister Judith Roxanne Dillard and brother-in-law Jon Spurlock. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Craig Spurlock, son Cheyenne Spurlock (Carlie), and daughter Callie Spurlock (Slade), grandsons, Gavin, Cason, Reyd Spurlock, Corbin and Cheston Havard, grand dog Cash and her precious dog, Ellie Mae. Survivors also include her parents, brother Jeffrey Wayne Dillard, and sister, Jenny Dillard Corbitt, her in-laws Shelby and Sno Spurlock, brother-in-law Jim Spurlock and wife Kim, sister-in-law Julie Spurlock Moore and husband Bart, numerous nieces and nephews and cousins, and dear friends Chandra and Terri. Stefanee graduated from Claiborne Academy in 1986. She worked in the pharmacy department for Larry Talley at Claiborne Drug before finishing school. She attended Northeast College in Monroe, Louisiana for a while with intentions of getting a degree in pharmacy and worked in the pharmacy field for several years. Stefanee had many careers, but by far the job she was most proud of was being mother to her two children and Pow Pow to her grandsons and great nieces, Zoe, Mckayla, Ady, Rocky, Marlee and Denver. She loved going to the activities they were involved in and was so very proud of them. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She loved listening to all types of music, doing yardwork, playing with Ellie Mae, motorcycling, supporting Donald Trump (she had all the memorabilia he sold), getting together with family, playing cards and shopping. She was compassionate person and cared for her sister when she was sick, as well as caring for her sickly parents and giving to the unfortunate and needy. In honor of her memory a memorial will be held at Rose-neath Funeral Home in Arcadia, Louisiana on Friday, November 6, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. "I have made my peace with God and he has forgiven me. I have said my apologies and been washed under the blood." "And never, never be afraid to die, for I am waiting for you in the sky" "The joy and peace of heaven she now sees, and someday again we shall walk hand and hand with our Redeemer in that glorious promise land." We take comfort in this, even while in the midst of our sorrow.
