KEITHVILLE, LA - A celebration of life for Susan Christine Free, 50, will be held on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park, Haughton, LA. Pastor Roger Morton and Pastor Danny Williams will officiate. Visitation with the family will be held at 1:00 pm with services following at 2:00 pm. Susan was born August 25, 1966 in Shreveport, LA to John and Teresa Bays, the youngest of 3 siblings. A devoted and loving mother to her precious son Jon David Free. A faithful Christian who not only loved her Lord but was passionate about sharing her faith. Susan was an accomplished Elementary School Teacher as well as a National Board Certified Teacher in Caddo Parish for many years whose exemplary gift and love for her students forever impacted the lives of so many children. Susan was preceded in death by her father, John Edwin Bays. Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Teresa Bays; son, Jon David Free, sisters, Cathy Smith and brother-in-law "Bo", Raynette Dollar and brother-in-law Randy, and one brother, John Bays and sister-in-law Remamae, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and special friends Shara Williams and family and James Robbins. Honoring Susan as pallbearers will be Bo Smith, Randy Dollar, Carl Dollar, Lee Savage III, Mark Bays and Reagan Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Smith, Lee Savage IV, Tray Bays, Matt Bays and Ronnie Shelton.
